| ESnet
has built a pre-deployment testbed network in preparation
for the Bay-Area MAN installation. The testbed consists of
two Juniper T320s, three Cisco Catalyst 6509s and four 10
GE Linux hosts. The devices are interconnected with multiple
10 GE and 1 GE connections. We're using this as an environment
to build and configure the components, verify proper interoperability
and perform capacity testing using the Linux hosts. As the
devices are put through their paces with acceptable results,
we'll be deploying them in the field in the latter half of
April, 2005. |
